Why this set
A twenty-year-old fairing with its original halogens is dark by modern standards, and the fix is rarely a brighter bulb — the reflector geometry is what limits the beam. A dedicated LED assembly replaces the whole optic, which is why the difference at dusk is immediate rather than marginal.
DOT, SAE and E-Mark approved, which is the part to check before buying any aftermarket headlight. Those three marks are what make the assembly legal on the road rather than a show part, and plenty of cheaper units carry none of them.
Installation is plug and play with the instruction sheet included, fitting model years 2004 through 2013. The silver and black housing suits a bike with chrome or brushed trim, where a fully black unit would read as a hole in the fairing.
