Why this set
One route gets boring faster than anyone expects. Pairing holds with a rope ladder gives a tree two completely different problems: the resin line asks for balance and reach, the ladder asks for arm strength and nerve. Children alternate between them for far longer than they stick with either alone.
The ladder hangs from a branch or from the top strap and is useful beyond climbing. Kids sit on it, swing off it and use it as the way down from the holds, which is the part parents appreciate — descending a trunk by hand is the move most likely to end badly.
Everything in the kit is strap-mounted or clipped: twelve holds, six ratchet straps, one ladder at six and a half feet, instruction sheet. The holds carry two hundred and thirty pounds each and nothing is drilled into the tree.

My kids love this. The kids (9 &11 years) do timed races to the top. It is on a tree branch in our yard. The toddler loves just swinging on it. I was a little nervous about the plastic steps but they are durable.
