Why this set
Eight straps instead of six is the real upgrade here. Two more bands of webbing means two more feet of trunk brought into the course, and it is usually the top two feet — the stretch that otherwise ends the climb early because there is nothing up there to hold.
Twenty-one holds across eight straps keeps the density honest all the way up. Rainbow colors make the route easy to call out from the ground, and on a wide mature trunk the spread of hues is the only practical way to distinguish one line from another.
Each hold carries two hundred and thirty pounds, is textured against slip and shaped to a child's grip. The whole course goes on and comes off with a hand ratchet and leaves the bark untouched.
